DOES M2M MASSAGE MAKE ME GAY?

In my massage practice I see men from all walks of life and types of sexuality. They may be married to a woman, they may have a male partner, they may be experimenting…the variations are endless! What most clients have in common is the desire for male-to-male touch in a safe, confidential space.

Personally, I’ve always been fascinated with the male body, the way it works, the way it moves. But growing up in rural Australia, I spent years trying to hide this fascination. It wasn’t until my late 20s that I “came out” and at that time, the choice was straight, gay or bisexual, so I opted for gay by default. Don’t get me wrong, at that time being “gay” in a predominately straight world was not an easy choice!

Nowadays, it doesn’t seem to matter so much. Those labels of gay, straight and bisexual seem old fashioned. Most young guys don’t feel the need to put a label on their sexuality. And why should they? Connection, sensuality and pleasure with is felt in our bodies and is not defined by a label.

A typical client I see is a man who is in a long-term relationship where there remains strong bond of love and family commitment, but the sexual aspect of the relationship has become non-existent. This man may have had experiences with other men when he was younger but put all that aside when he married and had children. He’s now ready to explore and revisit that part of his sexuality.

I also see clients who are in a sexually active relationship with a woman, but there’s an erotic need or part of their sexuality that their partner is unwilling or unable to meet.

So… will a sensual male-to-male massage make any of these men “gay”?

Definitely not! But it will give them an amazing sensual experience. It can satisfy a part of their sexual or erotic life without threatening or diminishing their primary relationship. It may allow them to explore different aspects of their sexuality. It may teach them something about their body they can use when they return to their partner. It can do all these amazing things and more, but it cannot imprint them with an old-fashioned label.
